The Holiday Season begins in Poland

Just a few hours upon our return home to Warsaw from our Thanksgiving vacation, we attended the Christmas party/dinner for Mark's office at the Ale Gloria restaurant.
Enroute to the restaurant, we enjoyed seeing many of the streets lined with Christmas lights...so pretty!
We weren't sure what to expect to see during the holidays in Warsaw, but were delighted to see new and different beautiful lights.  We also saw a few beautifully decorated trees.
We enjoyed a great Polish buffet...and enjoyed delicious food and great conversations.
In the picture below, Mark's boss Carl is sharing Christmas wishes to all of the Marathon workers.

I have enjoyed getting to know so many of the people Mark works with...
here are a few young ladies....clockwise from upper left, Agnieska, Dominika, me, Claire, Kasia, Anna, and Agnieszka....all from Poland except for me and Claire who is from Scotland.
I think I am old enough to be their mother...but I have enjoyed visiting with them and getting to know them over the past 6 months since moving to Poland.

The restaurant was decorated with beautiful pots of poinsettias and geese...Mark and I are smiling because jet lag had not set in yet, even though we had just arrived from Houston a few hours earlier!
Our first night back in Poland was enjoyed with a great celebration with Mark's Marathon co-workers...we enjoyed our evening immensely and felt happy to be home again.

Mark is exiting the restaurant...quite an interesting entry/exit path...we enjoyed our first night back in Poland and were happy to begin the holidays here in Warsaw.
